You know, it’s just so political. Last summer Superdogs got at me, and I was like “I’ll join your pack, sure – but only if I can do it my way, yeah?”
I mean, A-frames and weave poles and hoop tunnels are fine, I guess…for a whelping puppy. I developed this next-level routine with a lot more pizazz (and jagged glass and fire), a routine that I feel would have taken the sport from matinee to primetime.
But the old white men in charge couldn’t handle my ideas, and I wasn’t about to compromise and become complicit in the world-wide plague of underestimating audiences just for the sake of a few pieces of treat lining my snout.
On a broader lever, I guess it’s true what they say – genius is never recognized in its own Lionel.
